ABOUT
Mikaël H. ARBACH discovered his passion for photography when he was a child. After he received his Ph.D. in microbiology and virology from the University Paris VII, he decided to pursue a professional career in photography. He studied in one of the leading Paris-based Art & Design school (l’Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs). In 2011, he founded ATELIER ARBACH in Paris, a studio that specializes in architectural, interior, and portrait photography. Since 2015 he is working between his studios in Paris and New York.
Over the last 10 years, he developed the capacity to use different styles and techniques from the traditional analog large-format to DSLR systems, for both commercial and artistic purposes. He produces images for clients such as CHANEL, DKNY, Karl Lagerfeld, and Ismael Leyva Architects. ARBACH explores the unique identity of the space by constantly seeking the balance between the fine line of being too dreamy and cleverly artistic, which will allow him to create narrative images that stimulate the imagination of the viewers.
